Sheffield Vision Centre is owned and operated by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The profits from this service are reinvested to support NHS services within the eye department here at the Hallamshire Hospital.

We offer Laser Eye Surgery and other refractive eye treatments on a private fee-paying basis, within a purpose built private facility based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
Our facilities, and our experienced staff, are of the highest quality, and our surgeons Mr Matthew Edwards and Mr Mathew Raynor are both corneal specialists, well respected on the national and international circuit.

The hospital has invested heavily in leading laser and assessment technology to provide its patients with the very best outcomes possible. Laser eye surgery is performed in the Sheffield Vision Centre itself: Lens surgery is performed at Thornbury private hospital with all assessment and post-operative follow up at Sheffield Vision Centre.

All profits from this service are reinvested directly to support core NHS services within the eye department.
